Like most kids, growing up, I loved making art, salvaging every good piece of cardboard or paper to draw on. My fascination for art continued all the way through to high school. I knew I wanted to make a career in art somehow, maybe even architecture. As it turned out I landed in a self taught career of graphic design.

For many years I worked alongside some amazing, talented illustrators always admiring their work, I aspired to be a painter one day. However, life got in the way and I didn't pursue painting until I retired. Tragically, my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I became her caretaker for several years. Eventually she entered a nursing home and Covid banned any hope I had of visiting her.

Suddenly I had a lot of time on my hands so off to the local art supply store. The path to my painting career was wobbly, but I got there and today I'm relishing being a landscape painter.
